The match between Wales and England in the Six Nations, which was scheduled to be played in Cardiff on Saturday will proceed as planned, after the Welsh players decided to play.

Earlier, the game was in jeopardy as the players had threatened not to show up due to a contract dispute with Welsh rugby officials.

The issue has been resolved following negotiations and discussions, with the players demanding representation at rugby meetings, the removal of the 60-cap selection rule, and a revision of the wage structure.

A compromise has been agreed upon, with the 60-cap rule being reduced to 25, and players given the choice of a fixed or a variable contract. The game’s cancellation would have cost the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) almost £10m.
